TSH Pendleton

TSH Pendleton, a 2017 chestnut stallion, was the first horse the Hillman’s raised. Stevi trained his mom (Morning Traffic) as a three year old, competed at futurities as a four year old, and hauled her as a backup horse as a five year old. She stepped up in a big way as a rodeo horse, winning the infamous Pendleton Round-Up in 2016 which helped solidify Stevi’s first NFR appearance. Morning Traffic went on to become an incredible rodeo horse with Michelle Darling and has over over $600k in lifetime earnings. Pendleton is a great mix of her mother and father’s (Dash Ta Fame) genetics. He has a similar conformation to her while showing he has the confidence and natural desire to turn of the Dash Ta Fame horses Stevi has ridden.

He has a funny personality and loves to play. At times, his pen looks like a child’s play pen with toys scattered about. When you walk into his pen, he is there to greet you. He has a very outgoing personality and, while he is energetic, he is not hot. He loves to run barrels! He may not see the barrels for weeks and Stevi can warm him up and take him straight to the barrels and that seems to be when he does his best. Ty started heading on him this year and Stevi competed on him at a few futurities in 2022. They also hauled him all last summer to rodeos to season him so he could get experience on the road. Michelle Darling, Morning Traffic’s owner, ran him at some local rodeos and jackpots this summer while Ty and Stevi traveled.

The Hillman’s are thrilled with his babies! His first foal crop was born in 2021 and have been very good minded and trainable. During his first three breeding seasons, he was bred to proven mares only, but starting in 2023, he was open to breed to all mares. He will be standing at Reata Equine in Weatherford, TX. His stud fee is $2,000. He is currently enrolled in Future Fortunes, Royal Crown, Diamond Classic, and Colorado Classic.
